The Eve decanter is a tribute to family matriarch Eva Riedel, designed by Maximilian Riedel in 2008.

Each Eve decanter is freely blown by a master glassblower and is a unique and functional work of art. The decanter's sensual curves decant your wine as it flows through its serpentine shape, making it perfect for young, full-bodied wines. Eve transforms wine service into a theatrical performance, enhancing the pleasure of decanting, serving, and drinking fine wines.

The RIEDEL bottle cleaner cannot be used with this product as they may become lodged and cannot be removed.

Caring for your RIEDEL crystal

• RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe. RIEDEL exclusively recommends MIELE
• To avoid stains: use soft water (low mineral content)
• To avoid scratches: Avoid contact of the glass with other glasses or metals
• To remove stains: use white vinegar
• If available, use a stemware rack

If hand wash

• Wash the glass under warm water (use detergent and rinse the glass thoroughly)
• Polishing glass: Use two polishing cloths, never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl
• Stem breakage: occurs due to improper handling = torque or bending pressure at the stem
• Storage: Avoid storing glass in kitchen cabinets which give off strong aromas that result in glass

Microfiber polishing cloth

• Wash at boiling temperature (to kill bacteria) with odorless soap
• Must be machine washed at min. 170°F/75°C
• Never use fabric softener when rinsing your microfiber polishing cloth (prevents a grease film on the surface)

There are two reasons why we decant wines:

1. Decant an older wine to separate it from its sediment.
2. Decant a younger wine to increase aeration, reveal more complexity and open up aromas and flavors.

On the palate, decanted wine expresses more fruit in red wines and tends to integrate and smooth the tannins.
