At the heart of Japanese tradition is tea matcha . This green powder with a thousand virtues is excellent prepared traditionally or in a latte.

Unlike coffee, matcha releases its caffeine over several hours. It's also packed with antioxidants. As proof, you'd have to drink 10 cups of any other tea to get the amount of antioxidants provided by 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of matcha! ( Which explains why other teas are green with envy. )
