Vinum is a timeless series of stemmed wine glasses from the RIEDEL crystal factory. This series was designed in 1986 by Georg J. Riedel, a 10th-generation master glassmaker, and was designed for wine lovers who wanted to purchase a glass specially developed for a particular grape variety. Vinum's design is similar to handmade sommelier glasses, but this series of glasses is machine-made, which allows it to be offered at a more affordable price.

Maintaining your RIEDEL crystal

• RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe. RIEDEL exclusively recommends MIELE.
• To avoid stains: use soft water (low mineral content).
• To avoid scratches: avoid contact between the lenses and each other or with metal.
• To remove stains: use white vinegar
• If available, use a support for the stems of the glasses.

When washing by hand,

• Wash the glass under hot water (use dishwashing liquid and rinse the glass thoroughly).
• Polishing the glass: Use two cloths for polishing; never hold the glass by its base to polish the chalice.
• Stem breakage: occurs during improper handling = do not twist or apply pressure to the stem.
• Storage: Avoid storing glasses in kitchen cupboards where strong odors can settle on the glasses.

Microfiber polishing cloth.

• Wash at boiling temperature (to destroy bacteria) with an odorless cleaning product.
• Should be machine washed at a temperature of 170°F/75°C minimum.
• Never use fabric softener in the rinse water of your microfiber polishing cloth (to avoid a greasy film on the surface).
