Organic hojicha latte is a Japanese green tea made from roasted leaves, giving it smoky, woody, and slightly nutty notes, in contrast to the traditional vegetal profiles of green teas.

Very popular in Japan, it is now enjoyed in powdered form, especially when prepared as a latte. Its preparation is similar to that of a matcha latte, offering a smooth, comforting, and slightly roasted beverage.

Ideal on cold or rainy days, hojicha latte can be enjoyed plain or with a touch of cinnamon or cocoa powder to enhance its aromas.

Care & Use

Hot (for 350 ml):

  • Whisk approximately 2g (1 tsp) of powder into 50ml of hot water (approx. 90°C)
  • Add 200ml of hot milk (plant-based or dairy)
  • Sweeten to taste (we recommend 1 tsp)

Iced (for 350 ml):

  • Pour ¾ cup of your preferred milk (approx. 180g) into a glass filled with ice
  • In a bowl, whisk 2 tsp (4g) of powder and 1 to 2 tsp of sugar into approximately 50ml of hot water (75 to 95°C), until the mixture is smooth and slightly frothy.
  • Gently pour the hojicha over the milk, stir if desired, and enjoy!
