How to best care for your RIEDEL wine glasses. All RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher-safe, and we recommend MIELE as the best machine. If you wish to give them a final polish by hand, please use ONLY the appropriate RIEDEL microfiber polishing cloth! These are extra-large towels designed to give your glasses a perfect, clean shine. The cloths are available online or through your local RIEDEL glass supplier.

The microfiber polishing cloth is the perfect lint-free tool for drying and polishing your glass products.

It can be applied dry or slightly damp, cleans thoroughly and without streaks, degreases and dries at the same time, polishes without leaving lint or fluff. Can be washed up to 90 degrees. No fabric softener or bleach is required.

Caring for your RIEDEL crystal

• RIEDEL glasses are dishwasher safe. RIEDEL exclusively recommends MIELE
• To avoid stains: use soft water (low mineral content)
• To avoid scratches: avoid contact of the glass with other glasses or metals
• To remove stains: use white vinegar
• If available, use a stemware rack

If hand wash

• Wash the glass under warm water (use detergent and rinse the glass thoroughly)
• Polishing glass: Use two polishing cloths, never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl
• Rod snapping: occurs due to improper handling = torque or bending pressure on the rod
• Storage: Avoid storing glass in kitchen cabinets that have strong aromas that translate to glass

Microfiber polishing cloth

• Wash in boiling water (to kill bacteria) with odorless soap
• Must be machine washed at min. 170°F/75°C
• Never use fabric softener when rinsing your microfiber polishing cloth (prevents grease films on the surface)
