This spice blend is found in well-known dishes such as shish taouk, shawarmas, and falafel. In the case of the first two, it is used to marinate meats, along with olive oil and a generous amount of garlic. The cardamom, cinnamon, and allspice in this blend are a good match for mezzes (Middle Eastern tapas) in general. It can also flavor lamb rice or vegetarian rice pilaf.
