A savory meal featuring rice, shiitake mushrooms, plant-based protein, sun-dried tomatoes, sumac, and wild porcini mushrooms handpicked from Quebec's forests. Inspired by Italian cuisine, our forest risotto showcases Quebec's wild mushrooms. Entirely vegan, this recipe offers a high protein content for a complete meal, enhanced with a final touch of sumac to awaken the taste buds. Perfect for your camping adventures, stays at the cottage, or simply for a comforting meal at home!
Ingredients :
Organic Arborio rice, organic soy protein, organic sundried tomatoes, mushrooms (shiitake, porcini), nutritional yeast, salt, spices, herbs.
Instructions for use:
- Set the small bag aside and pour the contents of the main bag into a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of oil. Sauté over medium heat for 30 seconds. Optional: Add 1/2 cup of white wine.
- Add one cup of water and cook, stirring every 2 minutes, until the rice absorbs most of the liquid.
- Repeat step 2 until the rice is tender. Once cooked, sprinkle the contents of the small sachet over the rice for a finishing touch.
- Cooking time: 20 to 30 minutes.
- Amount of water required: 3 to 4 cups.
