Mitmita is a very spicy and slightly salty Ethiopian seasoning. In Ethiopia, it is often used as a dip for injeera, the famous teff pancake that accompanies most meals. It is also a table condiment, used as a finishing touch on all kinds of dishes, much like pepper. Ours is made from aromatic spices and Ethiopian hot peppers that we roast ourselves.

Mitmita spiced salt is very versatile and its uses extend far beyond Ethiopian cuisine. It's a blend that pleasantly enhances vegetable or legume dishes, sweet potato mash, or grilled meats. It can be used as a finishing touch to add a little character to beef or lamb tartare, roasted squash, or soup. Excellent for making a spicy mayonnaise!
